Sarat Babu of Foodking

Saratbabu's mother E Deeparamani, worked at a noon meal centre, and she brought up 5 children single handedly.
Sarat studied at Kings Matriculation, Madipakkam and topped the school in standard 12. He then went to BITS Pilani.
After that he worked in Polaris for 3 years, started preparing for CAT and the interview calls came from all six IIM's.

He worked really hard for the group discussion, personal interview rounds and joined IIM Ahmadabad

He was involved in organizing tech fests. He would go to his room, stand in front of the mirror and speak in English as if he were
anchoring a meeting, with this he gradually gained confidence.

He attributes his career growth to the calculated risks he took at the beginning. He gave up a Rs.8.5 lakh per month job to start on his own.

He then started a company called Foodking Catering Services Pvt Ltd, Infosys chief Mentor Narayanamoorthy inaugurated
the company two years ago. He urged Sarat to employ people from economically weaker sections of society.
