Deputy Commissioner N.K. Solanki was also present in the meeting. Vij had reportedly asked the SP what the police was doing regarding multiple sale points of liquor opened in villages. The minister was, however, not satisfied with the answer. As the exchange continued, the minister became agitated and asked the SP to "get out" of the meeting. She, however, refused to leave as she felt she was not in the wrong, and objected to the minister's manner. The officer’s response angered Vij, and he immediately left the meeting.
