Survival of an Analog Store

The other day I was at the local kirana store and an middle aged lady walked in and asked for a head cleaner. The shop keeper did not understand and I thought that she was asking for a shampoo. Guess what! she wanted a head cleaner for her cassette player. I guess there are a lot of people out there still living a simple life winding up the gramaphone.

"RadioShack" should have been out of business nearly 10 years ago but it has nearly 6000 retail outlets in the United States. RadioShack? some kind of World War II terminology, looks like the ham radio operators are still around, even in this digital age? Intriguing to understand this moribund company's apparent allure.

Every location is full of bizarre adapters, random chargers, and old boom boxes, and some sales guy is constantly hovering over you. It's like walking into your grandpa's basement. You always expect to see something cool, and you will be disappointed.
